01/19/2009 - Liverpool, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tim Cahill's header in the 86th minute denied Liverpool's bid to regain the top spot in the Premiership on Monday as Everton earned a 1-1 draw at Anfield in the 209th edition of the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard gave his side the lead in the 68th minute with a wonderful 30-yard strike, but Cahill's answer four minutes from time keeps the Reds in second place, level on points with United but trailing on goal difference and having played one more game.
Everton sits in sixth place and is now unbeaten in its last seven games.
The Toffees started well on the road and had the Liverpool goal under attack in the opening minute when Victor Anichebe's strong drive from 20 yards forced goalkeeper Pepe Reina to make a diving stop.
Reina was called upon again in the 12th minute to stop a header from Cahill after a cross from Anichebe, but Liverpool also threatened with Fernando Torres striking the outside of the post.
Liverpool began to slowly take charge of the match and goalkeeper Tim Howard produced a fine save on Gerrard, but Everton fought back and had a penalty appeal turned down when Anichebe was knocked down inside the box by Martin Skrtel.
The referee waved play to continue and Liverpool reacted by taking the ball down the field and setting up Gerrard for a fantastic strike to put the hosts in front.
Leon Osman had a look at goal that was snuffed out by Reina, but two minutes later the visitors stunned the Anfield faithful by leveling the match.
Mikel Arteta swung a free-kick into the box from the left and Cahill got his head to the ball, sending it past Reina from six yards to earn his side a share of the points.

Super Bowl XLIII isn't even a week old yet and oddsmakers have already released Super Bowl XLIV odds.
Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers winning Super Bowl 43, the New England Patriots are 8/1 favorites to win Super Bowl 44.
Bet Super Bowl XLIV Future Odds
With their 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII, the Steelers became the latest NFL champion. But believe it or not, oddsmakers from online sports book MySportsbook.com don't have the Steelers the favorites to win Super Bowl XLIV next season.
That honor belongs to the New England Patriots, who are 8/1 favorites to win despite not even qualify for the postseason in 2008. The Pats also have a major decision to make regarding what to do with Matt Cassel, who played well in Tom Brady's (knee surgery) absence last year but is also a free agent this offseason.
Ironically, the Steelers aren't even oddsmakers second choice to win Super Bowl 44, as the Dallas Cowboys are listed right behind the Patriots at 9/1 despite not making the playoffs themselves. Clearly oddsmakers think the public will hop back on the Cowboys' bandwagon considering the immense talent they have and the opening of a brand new stadium.
After Dallas, then comes Pittsburgh at 10/1, but they share those odds with the New York Giants, who won Super Bowl XLII. The Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers round out the top six teams at 12/1, while the Baltimore Ravens (14/1), Tennessee Titans (16/1), Carolina Panthers (18/1) and Philadelphia Eagles (18/1) complete the top 10.
The NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals got no love from oddsmakers as they were established as a 30/1 long shot to win next year's Super Bowl. They share those same odds with the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers – two teams that didn't even qualify for the postseason. Other long shots are the Kansas City Chiefs (100/1), Detroit Lions (100/1), St. Louis Rams (75/1) and Oakland Raiders (75/1).

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
As of February 9, MySportsbook.com has released its coveted 2007 Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament betting odds. “March Madness betting ” only a month away, the top ranked Florida Gators are favorite at 7-2 to win it all. The defending champs have not disappointed at all this season and currently have a 22-2 record and are undefeated (9-0) in SEC play. The Gators’ thrive off of their extremely balanced, experienced and versatile attack. All five starters started in last seasons National Championship game. What is most impressive with this group is their balance; the five starters all average between 10.7 and 13.6 PPG. The Gators have been on an absolute roll having won 15 straight by an average of 16.4 PPG.
Right behind the Gators are the 5th ranked UNC Tar Heels at 9-2. The Heels (21-3, 7-2) are absolutely loaded with top notch talent and are as deep as any team in the country. A concern for the Tar Heels might be inexperience. Of their top four scorers/ minute earners, three are freshmen and the other is a sophomore. The rest of the regular season, the Tar Heels play only one team that is currently ranked (Duke). Their remaining opponents do combine for an impressive 107-58 record though.
Other teams that the MySportsbook.com members seem to believe will win it all include the west coasts’ top team #2 UCLA (6-1), #3 OSU behind man-child Greg Oden (8-1), and #4 Wisconsin (10-1) behind their defense which has given up 70+ points only three times all season.
Below is a list of some of the favorites to win the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship lines. For the full list of teams and March Madness odds be sure to log onto MySportsbook.com.
